Some of the best producers from the region were celebrated at the Wirral Food and Drink Festival. Claremont Farm in Bebington was the host and organiser of this fantastic foodie event, now in its sixth year.
Festival goers were able to discover tasty treats from local producers including fresh vegetables from Church farm in Thurstaston, delicious fish from Wall’s Fish in Birkenhead and sweet treats from Mary’s Homemade Cakes in Burton.
Several chefs gave cookery demonstrations including Masterchef The Professionals winner Claire Lara and Paul Askew, chef patron at the London Carriageworks, who created new dish Hake Claremont, especially for the two day event.
