The Alderley Edge May Fair, organised by Soroptimist International of Manchester, drew local churches, schools and organisations together for a host of fun.

It began with a parade led by a wizard, white horse and knights from The Festival Hall in the morning - and   almost 200 runners doing a 5k run.

There were bands, clog and morris dancers, vintage tractors, fire engines, penny farthing bicycles, a fancy dress competition, plus a fairground with stalls, games and refreshments.
