Living Ventures’ Australian-born boss Tim Bacon’s latest extravaganza in Manchester city centre combines a restaurant and bar with stunning contemporary appointments and racy ambience. There’s an exciting menu of Pacific Rim flavours underpinned by European cooking tradition and an exotic blend of Indonesian and Southeast Asian influences. Australia’s strong ties with Japan also help determine taste and style of a new and unique venue.

Head chef Anthony Fielden, trained in the city’s top restaurant kitchens, deploys prime local ingredients with flavours of the Mediterranean and beyond for his gutsy and thought-provoking menu that’s brought a touch of sophistication to the city centre’s funkiest neighbourhood. Resolutely independent, TNQ is beginning to rack up deserved critical acclaim from far beyond the city limits.

Firmly ensconced in one of Manchester’s historic landmark buildings – the old Reform Club – Room’s eclectic mix of antique and retro provides a lively brasserie atmosphere amid spectacular surroundings.
