Bollywood glamour graced Tatton Hall in the form of the Anamika Diwali Ball. The event attracted many high fliers in the Asian business community.
Anamika, an Indian women’s charity based in the North-West, raised funds in excess of £100,000 for Pratham, an organisation committed to eradicating illiteracy among poor and vulnerable children in India.
The evening kicked off with a moving speech by Aditi Chadha, Anamika’s President and Sanjeev Dhoni, a trustee of the Pratham Board. An auction of glittering prizes was compered by the witty, urbane Hardeep Singh Kohli of BBC fame. DJ Bosco, flown in especially from Mumbai, set the dance floor rocking.
A high energy fashion show by Zainab Couture and five-star silver service by Payal made the evening a great success.
