Close Invoice Finance hosted their annual Real Ale and English Wine Festival at the Midland Hotel, Manchester.

 

Ian Steward, managing director of Close’s northern division, said:‘We wanted to organise a drinks reception with a difference. The idea of supporting local breweries and food suppliers really appealed to us, as assisting SME’s is essential to what we do at Close.’

 

Breweries in attendance included Stockport-based Robinsons, who showcased their new beer ‘Build a Rocket Boys’ inspired by local band Elbow. Tatton and Greenfield were also involved. English wine was supplied by award-winning Chapel Down. Cheshire-based ‘Cheese Detective’

 

Peter Papprill was on hand to take the guests through some of the regional cheeses on offer.
The event was attended by over 120 of Manchester’s business professionals.
